Household Packing Tips

  • Be organized. Establish areas to pack and store containers and work room by room to make the most of your time.
 
  • Pack the least-used items first in each room, and leave the bedrooms and kitchen last because those rooms contain many items that are used right up to moving day.


  • Keep your boxes a reasonable size and use blank newsprint or bubble pack for packing instead of printed newspapers. Newspapers contain ink that can soil or damage your belongings.

 

  • Label your boxes by room so those handling your belongings can move them directly to the room in which they belong.
