About Canning Truck Service
Canning Truck Service was founded by Gerald Canning during the Great Depression. In 1934, he purchased his first truck, a 1927 Model T, and began hauling freight for those in the Fairbury, Nebraska, area.
His philosophy was to haul freight for customers for a fair price and to treat customers honestly and with integrity. The business grew over the years and is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2009.
Today, the company owns a fleet of more than 30 trucks and is continuing to grow as the need to move freight, both locally and across the country, grows.
The philosophy of Canning Truck Service remains the same as it did in 1934 --- treat customers with intregity and honesty, provide excellent service, on-time delivery and courteous drivers.
